Problem Note 44856: "Cannot open this item" might appear when opening e-mail in Microsoft Outlook when the SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office is enabled

When the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office is enabled, opening multiple e-mails or viewing messages in the Preview window might fail with the following error.
Cannot open this item. Your server administrator has limited the number of items you can open simultaneously. Try closing messages you have opened or removing attachments and images from unsent messages you are composing.
This error can occur at various times. In addition, the error might resolve itself if Outlook is closed and then re-opened, or if Outlook is left inactive for a period of time.
Currently, the only way to prevent the error is to disable the SAS Add-In.
